What is the inspiration behind your business?

In my first startup I always thought and wish there was a really great digital platform out there that could help me,’ and Idea clicked in my mind to build a marketplace for printers which will help corporates and small business to get things designed, print and delivered to their doorstep. I started that business with just $500 and after 2 years sold in 1.2 million AED.

Like many business owners, I always had dreams of working for myself. After spending several years working for companies in the technology industry, I noticed an opportunity to provide full-stack service to enterprises and startups. I founded DigiTrends along with two partners to fill that gap and make my entrepreneurial dreams come true.

What is your magic sauce?

FOR MOST OF MY CAREER, I WAS LASER-FOCUSED ON STRATEGY AND EXECUTION. I was an actor in someone else’s play. So I played along until one day I realized that what I want from my life and career does not lie within the limiting walls of a corporate culture. I don’t make a good actor for someone else’s story.

So, I jumped ship. I knew strategy would be easy for me. I thrive on creating a vision, setting goals, and developing a process to get there. I saw many entrepreneurs and business owners flailing around without a good strategy and I KNEW I can help them.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Go with the flow, for coming years my plan is to build starts-up, start-up and start-up, I wanted to build a unicorn and leave a legacy behind me.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Establishing Your Moral Compass Distinguishing right from wrong for yourself is an ever present life challenge. You may agree with one ideology today, and another tomorrow. Changing your mind is your right, and deciding where you stand is your responsibility. The two go hand in hand.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

Build up your trust. When you make a commitment you create hope, when you deliver on that commitment you create trust.

So I always focus on delivery. I do not find excuses, I try to find a way. Remember, people only often what they want to hear. I Make sure the expectations are set properly and there is complete understanding. Credibility is currency for a leader. So I build trust and credibility to get people involve with my vision wether they are clients, partners or team.
