Tell us about yourself?

I have advanced degrees in engineering and mathematics (probability theory) and I’ve worked in the mobile gaming industry mostly in the casino genre. I’ve built data science and analytics solutions for games and building one for machine learning and sports betting sounded like a great project.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

The business was originally inspired by a desire to build better user experiences for sports bettors. It has since evolved into a fully-fledged fan engagement experience centered around betting on micro markets in major American sports.

What is your magic sauce?

Our magic sauce is lots of custom data and machine learning software geared towards sports and real-time low latency predictions.

Where do you see your company going in 5 years?

We want to continue to grow our product to have the largest micro market catalog with the best performance and the lowest prediction latency. We are betting on in-play micro markets to be the future of sports betting engagement, and we believe there will be lots of user growth in this space within the next few years.

What has been your biggest setback so far?

The impact of COVID-19 on sports in the last two years has been difficult for the entire sports industry. With the return of professional sports and a positive outlook for healthy players, we’re excited to get our product out in front of patient fans.

What has been your biggest win so far?

Our biggest win so far has been our partnership with DraftKings. We’ve partnered with one of the largest sports betting platforms in the world to offer our micro markets and couldn’t be more excited to have such a large audience for our initial product.

What is the next big challenge for your business?

The next big challenge is continued growth and interest from users. Not only do we want to prove that our machine learning backed micro markets make money for sports books, but we also want to demonstrate that this product amplifies fan engagement for major sports associations, professional teams, and venue operators.  We want to prove that live sports betting keeps fans engaged through the entirety of every match.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

We want sports teams and associations to embrace our product by making it part of the fan experience. There are opportunities in broadcast and sports media to bring more attention to games through Simplebet’s micro markets. We think our product is a huge win for the entire professional sports ecosystem. Try us out on DraftKings!
